It also brought to my attention how digital literate I needed to be just for something as simple as following this tournament. For something as simple as filling out my bracket predictions, the process is actually a little more complicated. After realizing that I needed to create an ESPN account, join a league with my friends in Salt Lake, fill out my picks, follow up with the games through TV, internet or cell phone, made me realized how much I use technology for everyday activities. While following the NCAA basketball tournament isn't necessarily school related, it opened my eyes to how much technology is evolving to me accessible at all times.

Teaching our students to use understand all these different forms of technology will be very beneficial to them and is something I think should be addressed in every subject in our schools.
March Madness is a perfect example of how you can use social media/digital literacies to have conversations about your content area. I think your idea of watching/evaluating games is a great way to incorporate new technologies as well. Thanks for your posting!
