With the month of march comes the most anticipated time for college basketball. Although no Utah teams, Utah State included, made it into the NCAA tournament this year, i'll still be watching. I like to watch the tournament through my eyes as a future coach. I like looking at the match-ups between players and how coaches choose t play against certain teams. I think to myself how I would couch my guys if I was in the tournament and I actually consider it good preparation for when I hopefully get to coach my own team.

It also brought to my attention how digital literate I needed to be just for something as simple as following this tournament. For something as simple as filling out my bracket predictions, the process is actually a little more complicated. After realizing that I needed to create an ESPN account, join a league with my friends in Salt Lake, fill out my picks, follow up with the games through TV, internet or cell phone, made me realized how much I use technology for everyday activities. While following the NCAA basketball tournament isn't necessarily school related, it opened my eyes to how much technology is evolving to me accessible at all times.

Teaching our students to use understand all these different forms of technology will be very beneficial to them and is something I think should be addressed in every subject in our schools.
